We offer a quiet country village setting. Forest Lodge is half ~ way between Auckland ~ Wellington on state highway 4, 30 minutes from Mt. Ruapehu. Forest Lodge is a "stones throw" from Tongariro National Park and the Whanganui River. The Whanganui River can also be experienced as a day trip from Forest Lodge. We offer first hand knowledge and experience.
